Good morning! We are in operating room number 4 of our clinic, where we’ve just completed a breast implant replacement procedure. Over time, it’s not only the patient who ages but also the implants. Manufacturers typically indicate a lifespan of about 15 years for breast implants.
In this particular case, the patient had implants placed with me about 20 years ago, and everything had been fine until now. Today, she returned for what we could call a “check-up”: the replacement of her implants. However, this wasn’t a straightforward procedure. We had to:
Reshape the mammary cone,
Redefine and modify the breast pocket,
Work on the overall breast shape.
After 20 years, it’s normal for many things to change, but I’m pleased with the outcome. We’ve achieved a beautifully shaped mammary cone and a satisfactory result.
